NeighborUp in Apex — Sunday, September 27

Our world is not only about politics.

It’s about our neighbors. It’s about community. And it’s about showing up for one another and celebrating life.

I wanted to share a free event coming up later this month. It’s outside our immediate Raleigh Northeast footprint — over in Apex — but it matters. Supporting people who are building neighbor-to-neighbor connections is part of how we take care of the places we live.

NeighborUp is hosting a free celebration for National Good Neighbor Day.

Sunday, September 27, 2026

3:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Sweetwater Town Center, Market Square

2701–2705 Lawnview Lane, Apex, NC

There will be shopping in the community, live music from Boys of Summer (70s and 80s), a special guest appearance by the Apex Mayor, door prizes, and a chance to learn more about NeighborUp — a local community service organization. All proceeds from donations benefit NeighborUp.

I’m glad to help get the word out, and I’m glad to name a friend in that work: Huntley Cuthrell with Your Way Realty Group, LLC, powered by Fathom Realty (“Your Path – Your Peace – Your Way”). They’re helping put this neighbor celebration forward.

If you can make it, come. Bring family. Meet someone you haven’t met yet. That’s the kind of afternoon that strengthens a town.

And while you’re thinking about community — remember to vote, and when you can, vote early. It’s one of the most practical ways we take care of the places we call home.
